| Emergence takes the ancient art of chanting in one’s own language and gives it an original, contemporary, and exceptionally evocative treatment, featuring seven very unique chant-songs in English, each of which invites contemplative depth, soul-centered singing, and spiritually vibrant movement.

| A collection of poetry (and lyrics) that honors the full-blooded reality of who and what we truly are, evoking the far reaches of Being without neglecting the personal, the idiosyncratic, the relational.
This is poetry that does not so much explain as reveal, poetry that sings, bleeds, soars, winging the ordinary and rooting the extraordinary. The price of admission? A sense of wonder. And it should not be so much read as imbibed, perhaps after releasing its juices with an unapologetically deep bite or two... |

| Pain and suffering are not synonymous. Pain is inevitable, suffering optional.
Where pain is consciously felt hurt, suffering is the dramatization of that hurt, casting us the role of the hurt one, stranding us from the raw reality of our pain. Turning toward and entering our pain — our contractedness, our fear, our distress, our numbness, our unhappiness — helps put us on the road to authentic happiness. Turning toward our pain reduces our suffering. Entering our pain further reduces our suffering. Moving through our pain ends or at least radically reduces our suffering, even if our pain remains. The more intimate we are with our pain, the less we suffer. To emerge from our pain, we have to enter it. |

| Diane brings her richly evocative voice to each song, singing with a full-blooded, heartfelt fluidity unburdened by sentimentality. Some songs are devotional, some are raw; some soar, some sing and bleed; but all are presented in the spirit of awakening to who and what we truly are, featuring a deep, genre-transcending spirituality.
What connects the songs of O BREATHE US DEEP is not a particular style (a wide range of styles is used — from ballads to Celtic to Native American to hard-driving), but rather the poetically-articulated embracing and living of a deeper life, a life in which body, mind, emotions, and spirituality function as a natural integrated whole. |
